About

Jasmine quinones // Director

Jasmine Quiñones is an Austin, Texas-based filmmaker and director. Originally from Boston, MA she moved to Austin in 2019 to continue her work as a freelancer - having already developed a strong foundation as a talented cinematographer and editor. She’s relentessly worked her to way to DPing, editing and directing for clients such as Rode, New Balance, Ferrari, and Fujifilm all while developing her own unique voice and signature style. Both her commercial work and personal work are heavily influenced by the rebellion and grittiness of skate culture along with visually punchy and honest television shows like Euphoria.

Her first short film “Push” (backed by Fujifilm) was her introduction to longer narrative-driven content. The story explores the friction between self and identity through the lens of one of her favorite sports: skateboarding. The film ignited a pivot in her storytelling style and she has consequently released two more micro shorts: “New Year, Same Me” and “The Side Effects of Heartbreak”, that dive deeper into her personal struggles via journal entry style narration. She hopes to continue exploring stories about the relationship we have with ourselves through commercial ads and short films, while leaning on some of her favorite subjects - sports, fitness, and lifestyle.

Outside of her professional work, Jasmine loves creating educational content for socials and personal short films, which have gained her a following of almost 50K across Tik Tok & Instagram. She hopes that when people watch her work they feel empowered to do that one thing they’ve been telling themselves they aren’t good enough to do.
